The first of the Kickstarter rewards will go out on Monday -- the no frills River Bend DVD, same great info as the original River Bend without the fancy packaging. It's not too late to get one. They are $50 (free shipping). Email Barbara for more information if you're interested.
If you pledged my Kickstarter, we are in the process of sending out "surveys" to collect your mailing address. Look for it in your email inbox. As you know, it will take time for all of the rewards involving icebergs. I will keep you up to date on my progress, here and through Kickstarter.
Kickstarter Goal Reached and Surpassed!
Many thanks to all who participated in my Kickstarter*. I am humbled to have surpassed my goal and want to thank all who have reached out with words of encouragement and action to support my next project, Icebergs. You all have made this project a reality for me and for that, I thank you.
As many of you know by now, I do my work in series and I am embarking on a new motif — icebergs. I want to bring my vision to a timeless motif. I am enthralled by their large, graphic and colorful shapes set against the northern sky and sea, a visual feast. I want to portray this subject in a grand sense. This trip will not be the ordinary process for me. I have to go to the icebergs to gather my reference and research and will be away for an extended period of time. Making any body of work requires time, courage and materials.
Your enthusiasm and continued support is most appreciated and I can’t wait to share this adventure with you. Barbara and I have been planning our trip, making to do lists and gathering supplies — of which, there is much to do and gather. We have ordered the bear spray, hopefully we won't need it.
We will be posting updates, photos and video clips from our trip and my progress from the studio, mostly on my Blog, "Peter Fiore Thoughts on Painting" and on Instagram. If you’d like to follow along on this adventure, be sure to click subscribe and enter your email address at the top of my blog and follow me on Instagram as well. It’s going to be an all-consuming project and I am anxious to get started.
*What is Kickstarter? Kickstarter helps artists, musicians, filmmakers, designers, and other creators find the resources and support they need to make their ideas a reality. Kickstarter allows patrons to purchase products and services in advance to help projects become a reality. To date, tens of thousands of creative projects — big and small — have come to life with the support of the Kickstarter community.
