Thank you to everybody who turned out to listen to me at the Travis Gallery on Saturday, go on and on and on about me and my work. Really though, it was a wonderful afternoon. I met some new people, saw some familiar faces and it was a good way to close the show.
Sunlit Grasses, February is one of the paintings I will discuss
I will be holding a gallery talk and slide presentation of my work at the Travis Gallery in New Hope, PA on Saturday November 24th at 2 pm. It should be a fun afternoon. I hope you can join us. You can preview the work on my website http://peterfiore.com/travis/index.html.
I want to make you aware of a blog by an excellent artist and my new friend, Gavin Gardner. I was interviewed by him and would like to share it with you. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did participating. http://gavingardner.blogspot.com/2012/10/interview-with-peter-fiore-landscape.html
One of my student's friends, who happens to live in Beijing, visited the American Contemporary Realism Show at the World Art Museum and was kind enough to send along these shots of my work at the museum. Saturday night was the opening for my show "Subjects Emerge" at Travis Gallery. I would like to thank Hurricane Sandy for making this candle lit night necessary. We were all set for the power to come on at 4:00 but it didn't. We still had the opening with candles and I was amazed at the turnout and the exuberance of all that attended. People loved what they saw and were happy to share with me their feelings and emotions. I want to thank them for coming out of their homes, some out of cold and dark homes and some out of warm and well lit homes, imagine that. Now I know what it is to have a 19th century opening -- a lot of fun. Thanks everybody.
