Visual Tangle

Untitled, oil/panel, 18x24
New painting underway -- dealing with light, color and shadows. What I was attracted to was the tangle of various shadow colors and the variations of green and dappled light falling on the ground, tree trunks and leaves creating what appeared to be a visual tangle. The tangle, a subject that I find more and more compelling, making order out of visual chaos.

Here are some photos of my week long workshop in Milford, PA. We had a fun week. It was wonderful making new friends and getting reacquainted with friends from the past. Thanks to all who came and for your hard work that made this a wonderful and rewarding experience. More photos are available on Barbara's Blog, Life With Peter.
